Popular Public and Paid Beaches in Dubai

There are many reasons for the emergence of Dubai as a favorite tourist destination. One are the many mega construction projects that are simultaneously being undertaken in there. Another are the rich sporting events that are participated in by some of the best-known men and women in sports (golf, tennis, horse race, etc.).

Still another are the different Dubai festivals, holidays, and such other festive occasions that many families across the globe dream of experiencing.

The beaches in Dubai also are definite tourist come-ons. For many years, people from around the world spend their holidays in the public and paid beaches in Dubai. These beaches offer water sports as well as a wide range of recreational activities.

Finding a place to stay that’s near a beach is not a problem. Accommodation facilities adjacent to the many public and paid beaches in Dubai are well developed to serve the needs of guests. Of course, finding a 5-star hotel near any of these beaches is not a problem, but tourists may opt for budget lodging facilities, which are also easy to find there.

Some of the beaches in Dubai are very close to private hotels; on these beaches, guests can spend the day on the fine sand and enjoy the famous waters of the Arabian Gulf for a small fee. Other beaches are free. This means that visitors to Dubai have a wide choice of either a free public beach or a paid private beach to enjoy the holidays.

The Corniche, Creek, Kite Beach, Khor Al-Mamzar, Russian Beach, and Umm Suqeim are some of the popular free public beaches in Dubai. The Kite Beach is especially popular for its long and smooth views. This beach is ideal for kitesurfers and sunbathers. On peak seasons, its waters are full of people, many of whom are trying to learn or practice some of the water sports available there.

The Umm Suqeim is famous for its white sand, while the Russian Beach is very near the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa in the celebrated town of Jumeirah. The Al-Mamzar is another popular public beach and is an important park in Dubai. It sits on a 250-acre land, extending all the way to the Persian Gulf. This beach also offers picnic spaces, fine green areas, and swimming pools, all of which are free to the public.

Of the many paid beaches in Dubai, the Jumeirah Beach Park is perhaps the most popular. Note, however, that this beach is reserved for women and children only. Those who stay in this beach will enjoy its white sand, clean water, and its great facilities, including barbeques, picnic tables, kiosks, and walkways.

Three other popular paid beaches in Dubai are the Meridien Mina Seyahi, Royal Mirage, and Hilton Dubai Jumeirah. Some of the recreational activities offered in these beaches include paragliding, jet skiing, windsurfing, and deep-sea fishing.

In any of these public and paid beaches in Dubai, tourists can wear the usual beachwear. Of course, they are expected to change to appropriate clothings once in public.
