christmas music 24

There are many great things about the holidays, and for me, one of the best is the Christmas music that my mom would get out, dust off, and play during the weeks leading up to the 25th of December. If she wasn’t playing music, she was singing on her own. This always made the holidays a bit more exciting, and is probably why I love to do the same things each year for my little girl. Music has the power to bring back memories and feelings from long ago, and this is no exception.

Some of my favorite Christmas music is the stuff that I listened to as a child. My grandmother and my mom both had old albums that they loved to play from artist that I had never heard of. That didn’t really matter, and still doesn’t. Some of the older Christmas music is still by far the best, and there is really no reason to give it up. Music tastes and trends may change, but those classic songs are still popular around the holidays, and for very good reason. You may not find these on albums any longer, but most have been re-released on CD.

There are some newer types of Christmas music that we love as well. My daughter loves the Wiggles, and they have quite a few Christmas DVDs and CDs that we play each year. Some of these songs are the classics that we love, and some of them are song that were written by the Wiggles. These songs are often fun, and the classics sound great when sung by Greg Page. These Wiggles CDs full of Christmas music will remain in my home longer after she has outgrown loving the Wiggles, simply because I love them so much.

You often hear Christmas music when shopping, or doing other things around the holidays. This is because it gets customers in the spirit, and they tend to spend more. However, you should just enjoy it for what it is, even if your shopping is all done for the year. You may find memories from your childhood holidays coming back to you, and it can remind you of what you want the holidays to be for your own children. The magic of Christmas is not often in the gifts, but instead, in the small details, love of family, and the Christmas music that you hear each year.
